Experiment in the Ice Tank

The first ever performed in Russia experiment has simultaneously recorded local ice pressures on the surface of a cylindrical support model using modern pressure sensors and the global load on this model using a six-component dynamometer. The experiment has been conducted in the ice tank. The models of two different diameters have been tested on the same thickness of ice at three speeds each, namely at an ultra-low speed of 1 mm/s. The measurements have been video recorded from both surface and underwater positions.
